You are not required to enroll in a monthly care plan. If you prefer to manage your own updates, backups, and plugin licenses, you are welcome to do so.
However, maintaining a website properly takes time, technical attention, and ongoing monitoring. Without consistent updates and licensed tools, performance and security can gradually decline.

This plan covers the essentials to keep your website secure, updated, and running smoothly.
Your WordPress core, plugins, themes, and PHP are updated monthly. Your site is protected with professional security tools and backed up regularly. Performance tools are included to help maintain fast load times.
You also retain access to Elementor Pro for making edits. Any additional content updates or design changes can be completed at my standard hourly rate.

You also receive 15 minutes of content updates each month and a discounted hourly rate for additional changes.

Cody goes above and beyond to make sure you love your final product and even helps you maintain your investment monthly at minimal fees so your website stays up to date, which we really appreciate, since it gives us more time to work on our business and not worry about our website, knowing it is in good hands.

Never a cost to leave.
If I build or redesign your site and you join a care plan as part of that project, there is no setup fee.
If it has been more than six months since I built your site, or if significant changes were made after launch, a $150 setup fee may apply.
Do unused content updates roll over each month?
No. The included time resets each month. It is reserved for you and holds your place in the support queue.
If your site experiences a security issue while on an active care plan, I will handle the cleanup and restoration at no additional cost.
To date, none of the websites on my maintenance plans have experienced a breach.
If your website requires cleanup without an active plan, the initial restoration fee begins at $250. After cleanup, you may enroll in a monthly plan to keep your site protected moving forward.
If you decide to manage your website on your own, ongoing updates, backups, security monitoring, and performance optimization become your responsibility.
Over time, outdated plugins and themes can affect site speed, search visibility, and security. Backups and monitoring tools must also be maintained consistently to avoid potential downtime or data loss.
You would also need to purchase and manage your own premium plugin licenses if you want to maintain the same functionality and protection levels.
This option works well for business owners who prefer to stay hands-on. For those who would rather not think about the technical side each month, a care plan keeps everything handled.
What happens If I Don't Choose a Plan?
You’re never required to enroll in a maintenance plan. If you prefer to manage updates, security, backups and performance on your own, you absolutely can. I simply want you to understand what that responsibility involves.
- Your site’s plugins, themes and WordPress core will need regular updates to stay secure and stable.
- You’ll be responsible for managing backups and restoring the site if something breaks.
- Performance optimization and uptime monitoring will not be included.
- You’ll need to purchase and manage your own premium plugin licenses if you want to maintain the same features and protection.
- If a security issue occurs, cleanup services are billed separately.
You will assume full responsibility for ongoing maintenance and security.
For business owners who enjoy being hands-on, this can work just fine. For those who would rather stay focused on running their business, a care plan removes the technical burden completely.
