WordPress websites run on plugins. They’re the small pieces of software that run behind the scenes to make your website awesome. Each website that I build has at least 12 plugins ranging in functionality from security and anti-spam to design elements and speed. All are important … but there’s one that’s the most awesome:
Elementor
This is the grand-daddy of them all. This is the plugin that I use to build your website. When I open up Elementor, a blank canvas awaits me with a side panel full of widgets that I use to begin the design process. The Elementor plugin allows me to add headlines, text, pictures, videos and all the design elements to make your website look amazing.Â
Elementor vs. Elementor Pro
Like many plugins, there’s the free version and there’s the paid version. While you CAN design a website with the free version of Elementor, there are so many additional widgets and things you can build with the Pro version. Guess which one I have … the Pro version! Every website I build uses Elementor Pro and that paid license (renewable each year) stays with your website so long as you have me maintain your website. That means when you need to have changes made or additional content added to your site, we’ll have all the functionality of Elementor Pro at our fingertips.
Can You Use Elementor to Make Changes?Â
Good question. The answer is yes … kinda 😉 Once your site is complete, I can set you up with an Editor account that allows you to make basic changes to text and pictures. It’s pretty intuitive and easy to do. But it’s not for everyone and that’s okay! That’s what I’m here for.
Elementor: Celebrating 5 Years
The folks over at Elementor are celebrating 5 years since they first launched their page builder plugin. Hooray! With that, here are five (5) of the most fascinating Elementor facts:
- 5% of all websites are built with Elementor. That’s amazing when you think about it!
- 8,000,000 active websites were built using Elementor.
- There’s a new Elementor website launched every 3 seconds!
- Elementor is the 4th most popular plugin on WordPress. Considering how many plugins there are, that too is impressive!
- Each Elementor website has an average of 63 buttons. Not the ones that I build … that’s a lot of buttons!
